Day 1: Welcome to Christchurch
On arrival in Christchurch you’ll be transferred by private car to your hotel.
This evening meet your Travel Director for a welcome drink and dinner.
Day 2: Christchurch – Punakaiki
This morning, take one of the world’s great scenic railway journeys on the famous TranzAlpine train. Travel through the spectacular Southern Alps, and spend the night in an eco-friendly waterfront resort at Punakaiki.
Day 3: Punakaiki – Franz Josef
Visit Hokitika for a demonstration by a greenstone (jade) carver, then ascend to a treetop walkway to view the canopy of the lush nearby rainforest. Continue
to the mighty Franz Josef Glacier for a tour to the viewing area with an expert glacier guide.
Day 4: Franz Josef – Queenstown
Take an optional scenic flight over the glacier this morning, then travel along the shores of Lakes Wanaka and Hawea. Explore the historic gold-mining village of Arrowtown en route to Queenstown. Nestled on the shores of crystalclear Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown’s scenery is inspiring.
Day 5: Queenstown Free Time
Today is free for you to explore New Zealand’s adventure capital. Ride the Shotover Jet Boat or venture out on a Wine Tour. Tonight you’ll dine at Bob’s Peak overlooking Queenstown.
Day 6: Queenstown Free Time
Make the most of your extended stay in Queenstown. Why not sit back and enjoy a peaceful cruise across Lake Wakatipu aboard New Zealand’s oldest steamship, the TSS Earnslaw, to Walter Peak Station.
Day 7: Queenstown – Milford Sound
Travel to Lake Te Anau, then Fiordland National Park to the Milford Sound. Tonight, stay at magical Milford Sound Lodge.
Day 8: Milford Sound – Stewart Island
A breakfast cruise to the spectacular Tasman Sea begins your day. Later, at Invercargill, travel by ferry to remote Stewart Island, keeping a lookout for
seals, dolphins and albatross. Stewart Island is arguably the best place to spot a kiwi in the wild.
Day 9: Stewart Island
A guided tour and cruise today reveals an unspoiled, a beautiful haven steeped in stories of Maori legend. Stewart Island is a destination for those who yearn to go beyond the ordinary
Day 10: Stewart Island – Mt. Cook
Cruise back to the mainland and travel though lush Southland pastures o your way to Aoraki (Mt. Cook).
Day 11: Mt. Cook – Christchurch
Travel to tranquil Lake Tekapo, visit the Church of the Good Shepherd. Later you’ll be welcomed to Morelea Farm by your hosts Angie and Stan Taylor for
lunch in their 600-acre garden.
Day 12: Christchurch – Wellington (Guest on the 12 day tour depart this morning in Christchurch)
Explore Christchurch at your leisure, then you’re off to New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington. Enjoy a city tour and visit Te Papa, the Museum of New
Zealand.

Day 13: Wellington
Explore Wellington at your own pace.
Day 14: Wellington – Taupo
Travel through verdant dairy country to Tongariro National Park, a near-desert with three active volcanoes, Mounts Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe.
Day 15: Taupo – Rotorua
Travel to nearby Rotorua via the spectacular Huka Falls. Tonight, an evening of Maori history, culture and traditional food awaits you at the Tamaki Family Marae.
Day 16: Rotorua
Enjoy the entertaining Agrodome Sheep Show and a visit to Rainbow Springs Nature Park. Gain an insight into Maori life at Whakarewarewa Living Village.
Day 17: Rotorua – Coromandel
An exclusive 5-star Eco Glow Worm experience awaits you today in the famous Waitomo Caves. Later, travel through the dairy-farming district of Waikato to the Coromandel Peninsula, famous for pristine beaches and native forests.
Day 18: Coromandel – Auckland
Travel to Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city. Take a city tour, and then explore, relax and dine at your own pace.
Day 19: Auckland – Bay of Islands
Travel north to the Waipoua Forest, home to the 2,000-year-old Tane Mahuta. A Maori guide will explain the legend behind the largest Kauri tree in existence. Spend tonight at your waterfront resort in the heart of the glorious Bay of Islands.
Day 20: Bay of Islands
Take a ferry to historic Russell for a tour of the first European settlement in New Zealand. The rest of the day is free for relaxing or exploring
Day 21: Bay of Islands – Auckland
Experience spectacular scenery today as you cruise through world-renowned game-fishing waters to Cape Brett and, weather permitting, through the famous ‘Hole in th Rock’ formation. The return cruise to Paihia meanders through picturesque islands – see deserted sandy beachesand secluded bays and keep your eyes peeled for the marine life. Celebrate this evening at a Farewell Dinner with your Travel Director and new-found friends.
Day 22: Farewell from Auckland
Say farewell to your fellow travelers when your journey comes to an end this morning after breakfast.
